Open Access Publishing Model
Journal of Pedagogical Sociology and Psychology (J-PSP) is a fully Gold Open Access journal. All articles published in the journal are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication, without any subscription fees or access restrictions for readers or institutions. This publishing model is intended to support the wide dissemination of scholarly knowledge and to increase the visibility and accessibility of academic research.
APC Amount and Application
To support the provision of essential post-publication services and to ensure the sustainable operation of the journal, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only to manuscripts that have been formally accepted for publication. An APC of EUR 1,200, excluding applicable taxes, applies to articles accepted for publication in J-PSP. No fees are charged at the time of submission, during the peer review process, or for manuscripts that are rejected.
The APC is requested only after the completion of the peer review process and the issuance of a final acceptance decision. The journal does not charge any additional or hidden fees beyond the stated APC.
Editorial Independence and Peer Review Integrity
The payment of the APC has no influence on editorial decisions. All manuscripts submitted to J-PSP are evaluated through a rigorous double-blind peer review process based solely on academic merit, originality, methodological quality, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Editorial decisions are made independently of any financial considerations and are guided by internationally recognized standards of scholarly publishing and publication ethics.
Services Covered by the APC
The APC covers only post-acceptance publishing and dissemination services. These services include professional copyediting and language editing, typesetting and layout preparation, DOI registration and metadata management, online hosting and platform maintenance, and the open access dissemination of the final published article. The APC does not cover peer review or editorial evaluation, which are carried out independently as part of the journal’s academic responsibilities.
Waiver and Discount Policy
J-PSP is committed to supporting equitable access to scholarly publishing. Authors may request an APC waiver or discount only after the manuscript has received a final acceptance decision.
Authors whose primary affiliation is in a low-income country according to the current World Bank country classification may apply for a 100% APC waiver. Authors whose primary affiliation is in a lower-middle-income country may apply for a 50% APC discount.
Eligibility is determined according to the corresponding author’s primary institutional affiliation at the time of submission. Waivers and discounts are not granted automatically and must be requested before an invoice is issued.
Waiver and discount requests are handled administratively and independently of the editorial and peer review process. The availability or outcome of a waiver request has no influence on manuscript evaluation, acceptance, or publication decisions.
Business Model and Revenue Sources
The journal's publishing operations are primarily supported through Article Processing Charges (APCs), which are charged only for manuscripts that have received a final acceptance decision following the completion of the editorial and peer review process.
J-PSP does not charge subscription or access fees to readers or institutions. All published content is freely and immediately accessible online.
Revenue considerations, including Article Processing Charges, have no influence on manuscript evaluation, peer review, editorial decisions, or publication ethics procedures. Editors and reviewers are not involved in the collection or administration of APC payments, and editorial decisions are made independently of financial considerations.
Advertising Policy
The Journal of Pedagogical Sociology and Psychology (J-PSP) does not accept or display commercial advertising on its journal website, article pages, or published scholarly content.
The journal does not derive revenue from advertising. Editorial decisions, peer review, manuscript selection, and publication decisions are entirely independent of commercial interests.

All articles published in J-PSP are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license. Authors retain the copyright of their work, and the license permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided that the original work is properly cited.
