Open Access Publishing Model

Journal of Pedagogical Sociology and Psychology (J-PSP) is a fully Gold Open Access journal. All articles published in the journal are made freely and permanently accessible online immediately upon publication, without any subscription fees or access restrictions for readers or institutions. This publishing model is intended to support the wide dissemination of scholarly knowledge and to increase the visibility and accessibility of academic research.

APC Amount and Application

To support the provision of essential post-publication services and to ensure the sustainable operation of the journal, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only to manuscripts that have been formally accepted for publication. The APC for J-PSP is 1000 USD per accepted article. No fees are charged at the time of submission, during the peer review process, or for manuscripts that are rejected. The APC is requested only after the completion of the peer review process and the issuance of a final acceptance decision. The journal does not charge any additional or hidden fees beyond the stated APC.

Editorial Independence and Peer Review Integrity

The payment of the APC has no influence on editorial decisions. All manuscripts submitted to J-PSP are evaluated through a rigorous double-blind peer review process based solely on academic merit, originality, methodological quality, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Editorial decisions are made independently of any financial considerations and are guided by internationally recognized standards of scholarly publishing and publication ethics.

Services Covered by the APC

The APC covers only post-acceptance publishing and dissemination services. These services include professional copyediting and language editing, typesetting and layout preparation, DOI registration and metadata management, online hosting and platform maintenance, long-term digital archiving, and the open access dissemination of the final published article. The APC does not cover peer review or editorial evaluation, which are carried out independently as part of the journal’s academic responsibilities.

Waiver and Discount Policy

J-PSP is committed to promoting equitable access to scholarly publishing. Authors who experience financial constraints or who are affiliated with institutions in low- or lower-middle-income countries may apply for a full or partial APC waiver. Waiver requests may be submitted only after a manuscript has received a final acceptance decision and are assessed through an administrative process that is fully independent of editorial and peer review decisions. The outcome of a waiver request has no effect on the editorial evaluation or publication decision.
